  • These women are talking in the shade of this + - 400 old tree. It’s one of the many holy places in the Wakhan, called Ostone. They are cleaning the floor of the small pieces of wood that fell overnight and then putting them away behind them, at the base of the tree. Although they are muslims, many of their religious practices show the herirage pf previous beliefs like animism, fire worshipping, Buddhism etc This shrine named "Saïd Brom". Black Mesa is an upland area in Navajo County, Arizona, it derives its dark appearance from the numerous seams of coal which run through it. .Kat resisted the relocation imposed by US law that  intended to encourage Native Americans to leave Indian reservations and assimilate into the general population - in order to better exploit natural ressources available on the reservations.   • Ateshkadeh, often referred to as the Zoroastrian Fire Temple, houses a flame that is said to have been burning since about AD 470. Visible through a window from the entrance hall, the flame was transferred to Ardakan in 1174, to Yazd in 1474 and to its present site in 1940. With their huge grinding stones, rotated against a flat plate on a brick plinth, these mills have been grinding down henna for well over a hundred years.
