Meeting with Kat, a Navajo Indian shepherd living in a traditional Hogan (the primary traditional home of the Navajo people, similar in appearance to a Yurt) in the Black Mesa. Black Mesa is an upland area in Navajo County, Arizona, it derives its dark appearance from the numerous seams of coal which run through it. .Kat resisted the relocation imposed by US law that intended to encourage Native Americans to leave Indian reservations and assimilate into the general population - in order to better exploit natural ressources available on the reservations. Focusing on nomadic America: people that live on the move across the US, out of ideology or for work reasons.
