A boy named Karzai plays around the driver's compartment of the only bus in the Pamir, which has been abandoned for years..Failed aid examples in the Pamir abounds, but this is one of the most stricking: A Medical Unit Bus bus brought, with special authorisation, from the Tajikistan side in summer 2007 (an Afghan-Pakistan project) to provide medical help. After a month, the ?doctor? left back to Tajikistan. Since then, the bus is rotting away beside the Khan's camp..Inside there is expired medicine thrown all over the floor...At the Qyzyl Qorum camp. It is the camp of the now deceased Khan (Abdul Rashid Khan, died in December 2009), and headed by the self proclaimed young Haji Roshan Khan (his son). Opium addicted Haji Roshan was never officially stated Khan and is therefore not accepted as leader by the entire Kyrgyz community. Near the Afghan-China border...Trekking through the high altitude plateau of the Little Pamir mountains, where the Afghan Kyrgyz community live all year, on the borders of China, Tajikistan and Pakistan.
